DOES IT HURT?
Well pain is an actual state of mind, and from person to person the tolerance of pain differs. At Safe Ink along with time we have noticed that the drive of getting the tattoo is a major factor for feeling pain. The more you want the thing to happen the further your mind focuses from reality and gets closer to the beautiful end of the journey, despite the pain or how hard it is to get something, your brain sets a convenient end result which will be the factor of enduring the pain. This law applies on all life goals.
IS TATTOOING SAFE FOR THE BODY? WILL I GET A DISEASE OR INFECTION??

CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL OR TAKE DRUGS TO NUMB THE PAIN?
Alcohol and most drugs makes your blood thinner which will result in bleeding more during the session. This will be a major factor to mess up your tattoo as the artist will have a hard time making the ink settle under the skin. Drinking a day before is also not recommended as the alcohol half life stays in the system and will still affect the process adding to the physical state of the body of fatigue. Your body must have the right rest and sleep before a tattoo, which will be a great factor to raise your pain tolerance and is an advantage for faster healing.
DO ALL AREAS HURT THE SAME?
Areas that has thinner skin like the inner part of the joints where tendons are joined hurts more. and will swell up normally which takes a more experienced artist to perform.

CAN I SWIM?
Until your tattoo is fully healed, you should avoid swimming in a pool, in the sea, or even soaking in the bathtub. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, exposing your tattoo to too much water may draw ink out of your skin and damage the tattoos appearance. Secondly, the water in swimming pools, the sea, and the bathtub may be carrying dirt, bacteria, chemicals and other impurities that could cause your tattoo to become infected.
It will be completely safe to resume these activities once your tattoo is healed, but for now you should stick to rinsing your tattoo in the sink or shower.
Keep your showers and baths short, under 5-6 minutes.
CAN I EVER USE VASELINE?
The worst enemy of your tattoo during healing is Vaseline or any other petroleum gel. As is clogs the pores and prevents the tattoo from healing, which will lead to a definite infection. The bacteria will be trapped in between the gel and your skin this process will make the tattoo suffer because the gel lasts for a very long time and in fact has no important function to the healing process. If you ever think that you will protect your tattoo by putting Vaseline on it during healing and SWIM then, you are burning it with the exposition to the sun rays as any petroleum gel works as an enforcer to the sunbeams.
DO SAFE INK SELL ALL THE AFTERCARE PRODUCTS YOU WILL NEED?
The aftercare products are only supplied by a licensed pharmacy, in which we don't have the privilege to sell. We can recommend the best products that will help in speeding up the process of healing and make the skin moist during the healing phase.
We recommend Fucidin ointment to be used three times a day for two weeks or three according the area and size of the tattoo, tattoos on joints and thin skin will take more time to heal.

DO WE REFUSE ANY TATTOO JOBS?
We generally never refuse any tattoo job unless it will be a bad option for you, the artist might not decline the job but in fact lead you to the right way or wearing a tattoo that you will be proud to have for the rest of your life with no regrets.
DO WE DO FINGER TATTOOS?
The thing is that the fingers have different skin than other parts of the body, some parts do too. So it would not be possible to do a tattoo to stay the same as vibrant and good looking like the pictures you see on the internet because these pictures were taken fresh right after it was done. When it peals off the color will fade away and it will loose it's charm That's why I don't advise finger tattoos in general.

HOW MUCH IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
All depends on the tattoo job you request. If your tattoo is small we can fit you in the schedule easy BUT, if your tattoo cover a big area of your body this will need preparations from both you and the artist. In that case a consultation session is advised first and then we proceed with the booking for getting the actual tattoo.
CAN I GO TO THE GYM?
Tattoos that cover large surface areas, or are near joints (such as elbows and knees), may take longer to heal if the skin is forced to move around too much during intense workouts or other physical activity. The movement will cause the skin to crack and become irritated, prolonging the tattoos healing process. For this reason, you should avoid unnecessary workouts for at least a few days after getting a new tattoo.
If you're involved in a self-defense class like karate or kickboxing, you may want to warn your classmates so they can avoid hitting you in the wrong place.
If you work in a job that involves physical activity, such as construction or dance, you may want to consider having your new tattoo done on a Friday, so it will have the
IT IS TOO ITCHY CAN I TOUCH IT?
As it heals, your tattoo will begin to scab. This is normal, and the scabs should be allowed to dry out and fall off by themselves. Do not try to help the process along by picking at the scabs. This may cause the scabs to fall off prematurely, leaving holes or light spots on your tattoo.
If your hands or nails are unclean; you may also cause the tattoo to become infected. You should always wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap before touching your tattoo, and you should never allow anyone else to touch it while it heals.
Dry, scabbing or peeling skin can become very itchy, but scratching at your tattoo may also cause scabs to fall off. You can relieve itching by slapping the tattoo with the flat of your hand, or by rubbing in a little lotion.
Keep using moisturizing ointment to combat itchiness if it is a problem.
WHY SOME PEOPLE FAINT?
the main reason for a person to faint is fear combined with an empty stomach, always have a full stomach before getting a tattoo. Blood pressure will fall and will cause the person to faint else wise.
CAN I LISTEN TO MUSIC DURING THE TATTOO SESSION?
Music is the healer of the soul, having your earphones on or listening to intense music will for sure distract you from the actual pain and process happening. Music is highly recommended.
IF I TOOK AN APPOINTMENT AND THEN I DIDN'T SHOW UP, WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE WHAT HAPPENS?
Safe Ink has a very strict policy for NO SHOW, it is seemly not professional to book an appointment for such a serious procedure and then the client doesn't show. We have a NO SHOW list created on the database and the customer who doesn't show his contact information will be flagged. The only way to get another appointment will be to pay a deposit through our website.
I WANT A TATTOO BUT MY AGE IS LESS THAN 18 WOULD THAT WORK?
Huzz Ink has a super strict policy for persons under age that are in need of a tattoo, where this issue would be resolved very easily by bringer a parent along, which assures the approval and signing a waiver would be enough accompanied with both IDs.
DO YOU ALSO TATTOO IN COLOR?
The recent technology of extracting organic colors from nature made it possible to have the widest variety of color, Which the pallet of the artist has as much colors as if an oil painting is performed.
IS THERE A TEMPORARY TATTOO
The only tattoos that lasts temporarily is Henna which lasts for 2 weeks.
We specialize in tattoos since 2001 if there is something that lasts more we would have it for sure. BUT, there is nothing such as a tattoo that stays for 3 months or more.
